Koons Toyota/Scion of Annapolis Loan, Service, and Customer Service NIGHTMARE!! Annapolis Maryland

Koons Toyota of Annapolis is a nightmare! Since day one I have been jerked around and screwed over by these people. Let me first explain my car-buying experience.

I went there to buy a car and told the salesman I didn't want to walk out of the lot without knowing that I was financed, that I have been denied before and don't have superb credit. My husband and I looked at the car, traded in my old car, and also had a down payment. We were guaranteed we had it and I drove off the lot. 27 days later I get a call from the dealership saying I needed to come there to "sign papers." I stopped by and had a bad feeling of what was about to happen. I walked in the office and they told me I had been denied my loan and these were my options:

1. Be left with a pile of money because they had already sold my trade in.

or

2. Add more money to the down payment and get approved for a loan.

I was furious! I couldn't believe this was happening. The salesman wouldn't even talk to me, the finance guy told me he wasn't screwing me over and that this was normal. They post dated a contract and had me sign it, at this point, I had no other option but to add more money to the down payment and keep the car. I was in a situation where my work depends on my car and they were aware of that. He even told me that it was "tax time" and that he knew people are getting back a lot of money. I didn't have the money. I had to borrow it. It was so ridiculous.

Now, on to the service portion of this nightmare dealership.

I bought into a maintenance plan that included 11 oil changes. I just went in for my 9th one and I can honestly say it has never, in the nine times, ever been less then two hours. Yesterday took 3.5 hours and I had to miss work and school. They told me 40 minutes, thats a joke! It's never fast. I started with 8 people in the waiting room and I was last. I went out and asked "Daniel", my service advisor, what was taking so long, he said he was going back to check. He came back out and said it was going to be another 40 minutes.

I was in shock. Then the fantastic part came, and I say that with sarcasm, he came back with repairs that total $1869.85 not including what it would cost for labor. I nearly fainted. I told him I wanted just the oil change. I went back to the front desk to see if my car was ready. He had to go back tot he service shop and tell them to put my car back together. I waited another 15 minutes. Every time, without a doubt, I wait and then they come up with ridiculous prices of things that "need to be fixed", there is no other way to describe it besides being a nightmare.
