EDitor's Comment: Primerica gets a POSITIVE RATING in customer support from Rip-off Report and is fulfilling its commitment to provide excellent customer service. Primerica pledges to resolve complaints and address representative issues. For a long time this EDitor had concerns about Primerica because of the number of Reports about them. For many months Rip-off Report was looking into the company, even before they contacted us to resolve any issues and mostly misunderstandings being posted by competitors. With over 100,000 representatives and 6 million clients, Primerica is bound to be the subject of a certain number of complaints about improper agent conduct, as well as product and administrative complaints.

RipOff's investigation found such complaints, but importantly also found that Primerica is committed to resolving such complaints quickly and doing everything possible to satisfy its clients. It also takes appropriate action against any of its representatives who are found to have conducted themselves improperly or unethically. We believe that the number of complaints against this company, whether through the Internet or other channels, is small when put into the context of its enormous size. Most big companies would never commit themselves like Primerica has. Read our investigative Report and Primerica's commitment to 100% consumer satisfaction.

===================== THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED IS BELOW

===================== Primerica Citigroup Michael Bidolli ripoff Job Career Finanacial Services Madison Heights Michigan

I can not believe that the Government is allowing this company to continue operating. I was looking for a job-I have a degree to teach Elementary School Kids.

I had to find a job because the Gov. is making drastic cutbacks in the school funding, and I can not get a teaching job. But, it allows companies like this to continue working, running, operating, and making money off of people.

I went for an interview because I was told I would have a job in Financial Services. I thought it would be more like a secretarial job. After all, Michael told me I would be hired to run, operate, hire, and train employees for the new companies that Primerica would be opening in my area.

However, my sister told me she had went to a seminar for this same company and they asked her for money to start up her own sales in Financial services.

This tipped me off, and then I discovered this site. Now I realize how currupt this company really is. I can not believe that Michael would have the nerve to ask me ( a thoughtful, honest, caring , educated, and thoughtful individual) to help with his scheme.

I am already 30,000 dollars in debt from college, and this Primerica representative knew that. Maybe he felt that he could manipulate me because I was really desperate for a job since I can not currently find a teaching job.

What ever the case may be, I don't know how he can sleep at night knowing that he is part of such a corrupt business, and being the leader to continue to lie, cheat and steal other employees.

I wonder if he even has any idea that is company is so corrupt, and currently under investigation? Or, does he even care?

I don't know every thing about finances, I went to school to teach children how to read and write(and look out for such aweful people who lie).

However, I know something is not right when the person who say's he is hiring you can not tell you exactly what he is hiring you for, and how much you will be making. Also I know that you should not have to pay to get a job (with the exception of college of course). My sister did not fall for this one as well.

If a Primerica agent is telling you that he is looking for someone to hire, train, run, and operate a new business that is expanding- Question why it is that you do not have to have any tpye of education in order to (basically) run a new business.

Oh-that's right he is going to train you! Where did the Representative get his qualifications to train you to be a business owner?

I could go on and on- I just hope that all who are in this company and being corrupt PAY! and anyone who is thinking about joining- THINK FOR YOURSELF! DO YOUR RESEARCH! INVESTIGATE THE BUSINESS AND ITS PRACTICES! DON'T GIVE ANYONE ANY MONEY! And PRAY for yourself and the Members of Primerica!

Misleading + deceptive = corrupt

AUTHOR: Reid - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 19, 2004

To everyone out there who may be interested in starting their own business, I have never been personally involved with this particular company, but have been approached by several people to attend a few of their company's presentaions. I have been scammed so many times that I am now really tentative about trusting people, especially if they claim they can make me an enormous amount of money or mentor me to wealth. Rule of thumb

#1. Any business that charges a fee of any kind over and beyond material costs is a scam, especially if the company pays people a commission for enrolling other members and is not offering a product and or a service. YOU'D BE WORKING FOR THEM!! WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU PAID AN EMPLOYER TO BE ON THE COMANY'S PAYROLL? SCAAAM!! Rule of thumb

#2. If you ever decide to do business with a company, make sure that they have a return policy and that you receive it in writing before you enroll. NEVER do business with a company that is unwilling to provide you with their refund policy in writting. Way to many companies have a "so called" no refund policy and they hide behind it. There's a d**n good reason why many companies choose to implement a no refund policy. THEY'RE ALL SCAMS!! And once you find out that you have been ripped off, you will then find it near impossible to get a refund. Rule of thumb

#3. Get all information in writing before deciding to do business with any company. If the company is legitimate and has nothing to hide, they will have absolutely no problem sending you any and all requested documents.

NEVER, EVER ,EVER GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER OVER THE PHONE WITHOUT RECEIVING EVERYTHING IN WRITTING FIRST. ONCE AGAIN, IF THE OFFER IS LEGITIMATE, LET THEM PROVE IT.

If any of these rules are broken there's a pretty good chance you'll end up in my situation and the only people who will be ranting and raving in the end, is the person who receives the big fat commission check in your behalf.

Anyways, I have to go for now, Until next time, Take Care cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii, & God Bless each and every one of you.

P.S. FEEL FREE TO READ MY REPORTS AND UPDATES REGARDING JOHN BECK. JUST GO BACK TO THE MAIN PAGE AND DO A SEARCH FOR JOHN BECK AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WITNESS THE EXTORTION UNFOLD, I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED IN FULL DETAIL ABOUT WHAT'S GOING ON.

MY REPORTS WILL EXPLAIN EXACTLY WHY ALL COMPANIES WITH A NO REFUND POLICY MUST BE AVOIDED AT ALL COST. MY REPORTS WILL ALSO EXPLAIN HOW FRAUDULENT COMPANIES HIDE BEHIND THEIR NO REFUND POLICY AND TRY TO USE IT TO THEIR ADVANTAGE WHILE ROBBING YOU. BY THE TIME I AM FINISHED WITH MY DISPUTE, MY REPORT MAY POSSIBLY BE LARGER THAN A 15 VOLUME ENCYCLOPEDIA.

#4 Consumer Comment

this helped me tremendously with my decision

AUTHOR: Mary - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 19, 2004

I posted my resume on my college's career center site. I will graduate with my Master's degree very soon. That resume was posted last night. This afternoon I received a call from a Primerica individual who told me exactly what you were told: they need people to train and set up new offices, etc. He invited me to go to an open house next week. Initially, I thought this would be great. Later that evening, I went to dinner with a friend and told her what transpired with Primerica this afternoon. She told me a mutual acquaintance of our's is with them part time and is cold calling everyone under the sun about Primerica's services. Immediately, my antennas went up. I knew that phone call was too good to be true. I started thinking pyramid scheme because the only companies that try to recruit through seminars are those stupid companies that I will not mention that want you to have parties or have your friends "pass their books around." In addition to posting that resume, I have been working with a headhunter and I called her to ask her any info she may have on Primerica. She didn't have anything initially, but will call some headhunter friends of hers for some scoop. I won't hear from her til Monday. I just sent her an email to tell her she doesn't have to get the scoop. I already have everything I need. Once again Amy, thank you for your post. It has helped me tremendously with my decision about attending that open house. I hope and pray this individual does not harass me over the next several days. Good luck with finding a teaching job, I'm sure things will work out for you.

Uneducated? EXACTLY! ..someone who called herself a friend. Thankfully, I passed

AUTHOR: Caitlin - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 19, 2004

I had my own brush with Primerica through someone who called herself a friend. Thankfully, I passed on the entire "opportunity." As a former financial analyst turned entreprenuer, I am always skeptical of something that sounds too good to be true.

Much has been said about Primerica targeting an uneducated population. Michael's post is a prime (pun intended) example. It is rife with punctuation and grammarical errors. My 16-year-old son could garner more credability than some of the Primerica agents who have posted on this site.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Secretarial? Consider yourself lucky that you did not join and let it go at that

AUTHOR: David - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 16, 2004

Amy,

Consider yourself lucky that you did not join and let it go at that. The rest of your post seems a bit suspicious.

You say that you are educated as a teacher and trained to teach children to read and write. It was hard to tell considering your post was so poorly written. The spelling errors can usually be attributed to "typing" errors but some of the sentence structure, grammar and punctuation was really poor.

Then you tell us that you expected this to be a "secretarial job" even though you were told they wanted you to "run, operate, hire and train employees" for offices that Primerica was going to open. Is that what you think secretaries do?

At any rate, you avoided PFS and you will find there are much better opportunities if you are interested in this industry.

#1 UPDATE Employee

it's not what YOU think it is

AUTHOR: Michael - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 16, 2004

I to went to a meeting and saw something you didn't. A differant career. First off you learn for about a year, of how to do the financial work like insurance ,home loans ,mutual funds or investments. The money you pay when you join is for classes you will go to, to help yoou get preparded for lisenceing that you have to take test for the state that you will be selling in.

You must have been miss lead and that happens in any job, and you can do this part time too.
