I went to the local Gene's Tires here in Folsom, Louisiana to get a tune up.February 21st, 2024. The girl came out later from the back and said they had to order a part (looked like a soup can that she was holding) because the one they had was too big and that it would be there early in the morning. Ok.  So I left.

I have a Toyota Sienna 2013 and dogs.  It's just perfect for us. I left Gene's and decided to go to WalMart for groceries. While going down LA-25 my hood flies up and BAM, shatters my windshield.  I was in shaking.  And so nervous!  I called Gene's and they said we'll come pick you up. I said my engine is fine and there's enough glass I can see through to come back. It was approximately one fourth mile. I was so upset

First I got out of my van on a main highway. People were honking their horns. I was going to see if I could pull down the hood as it lay on top of my windshield. I was so nervous. I saw a cap right in front laying in the area that cars use to have radiator and also a hole where it goes to the oil. The mechanic never put it back on. The woman who works there watched the video and said all of them in the back were just all around my van doing nothing.
I screwed that cap on and managed to pull the hood down.  I was so shook up. Got back in the van and tried to make a U-turn in LA-25 and a huge landscape truck hit me from the back.  The end results are that landscape driver had $2,000 damage to his bumper and my van was totaled. The man that hit me is suing me as he is going to the doctor now.
Now I only have my husband's Tacoma who passed away. we had show dogs long go. I have a $10,000  14y old Akita who is having trouble getting into the Tacoma.  I had to buy one of those steppers and I need to help him. And even after a 1.5 foot incision he fights me to get in.   It's so hard. I'm 72.  He just had major surgery by the top veterinary surgeon in Louisiana 2 months ago. We go to the park daily. He yearns to go but he is miserable in the Tacoma. I need the Tacoma. I'm in the country.   My dog  had cancer but is doing well from the surgery two months ago.  -  but recently he attempted to jump trying to avoid the last two steps on the stepper thing I got and is now limping. I'm so upset. So I made an early appointment with the veterinarian Dr. John Mauterer for April 8th as he was suppose to go back in May for an X-Ray.

I am so devastated.  He is my world and my life.
Because of this little careless punk working there and doing what he carelessly did I am out of a van and it's causing so much heartache in my family it's unreal.
When Popeye fell the other day my son was so mad. I told him I'm not strong enough to do this.  He said mom I know. It's Gene's Tires, the cause of all of our heartaches.
The woman who works there told me Gene said that's just too bad. Wasn't it his employee that was the initial cause?  He never offered me a penny and he has many stores throughout the cities.

I've contacted my attorney.  Regarding all of this and I'm going to see him next week or after Popeye's visit April 8th because of the limping.
Folsom is a small town with only 750 people. Everybody knows everybody. I've heard other stories since last month like a mechanic putting brakes shoes on a huge truck the wrong way causing metal to metal.    Also a man I ran into today that's been w John Deere forever.  Gene's did something bad to their truck.
I can't let this go any longer.  I'm so overwhelmed. My back hurts from Popeye. I'm just depressed.  The people at Gene's told me Gene was a drunk.
I called there today to get the man's name that caused this.  The woman wouldn't tell me.  He's not there anymore.  I don't know if he got fired or quit.

I hope you follow through with your attorney. It sounds like you have a good case IF your attorney can preserve the evidence.  That bunch will get rid of it, if they haven't already.  I wish the best of luck my dear.
