Vancouver's best painters
Vancouver, British ColumbiaAstrid Gottfried, doing business as Astrago Home Design and Renovations hired Vancouver's Best Painters, one of the most reputable painting companies in all of British Columbia to do a $7,500 paint job for her client at 3535 West 39'th, Vancouver.
After my best superstar painter worked 45 hrs I got a call from Astrid (hereinafter: The Ugly German Lady) and she complained that one single nail hole wasn't filled properly and that that paint was not adhering to one corner of the the crown moulding. The paint wasn't sticking to that one single area I explained because silicon was used (by her husband) to fill the gap.
'Not the fault of the painter maam' I explained...it was a 'poor choice of filler by...ahem..'the worker' you had do it.
As for the nail hole that didn't get filled I explained that it wasn't the end of the world and we could spend all of 5 seconds to rectify the situation.
Astrid remarked that: 'your painters are not allowed back on site and you're not getting a penny from us'.
The invoice was for $1500.00 and was to be a progressive payment.. (no deposit) was requested from the Ugly German Lady and we paid for the paint up front ourselves.
Long and short of it is that The Ugly German Lady got a first class job for the first phase of the reno and didn't pay for it...not a single cent.
All contractors in the Vancouver area consider this a friendly heads up and steer clear of ASTRID GOTTFRIED AND ASTRAGO HOME RENOVATIONS.
One last note...since the homeowner 'Anne' is good friends with Astrid the question is begged as to the possibility that Anne herself is also a thief.
