My daughter found this lender when looking for student loan options, they called her and told her she was approved for $10000 with a security deposit of $1300. She used her paycheck and $700 of my money to send security deoposit after calling the BBB and being told there was no negative reports on this company, having three adults look over the loan agreement and taping several conversations with the so called lender. When she called the next day to verify the receipt of her deposit she was told she would need another $1300 as the lenders insurance agent decided she was too high risk at which point she requested her money back and was told that she was stupid as she could have the $10000 within 24 hours if she would just send $1300 more.
We have since filed a police report and have taken the paperwork to an attorney to attempt to recover any part of her money which is not likely. We want to make sure that this does not happen to others.
When I googled the Oakdale lending group last week there were no negative reports, I wish I would have waited another week or two and checked again.
