My husband and I purchased four wheelers and GE Money Bank was the credit card that was given to us. On 9/26/07 I made a payment over the phone (I tried to make the payment online, but their site was down). I was told it would take 48 hours to post and my payment was due 9/29.

The money was removed from my account on 10/1/07, but the payment hadn't been posted. I called the company on 10/6/07 to find out what the problem was, and they told me to fax a copy of my bank statement showing the money came out. I did so.

On 10/10 I called and the money still hadn't been posted. At this point I was told to send a copy of the cleared check, but they didn't have a fax number, so I had to mail it. I express mailed it and it delivered on 10/11. I called 10/16 to give them some time to process it, and I was told I never sent anything, so I faxed it to the number I was given.

On 10/16 I filed a complaint with the BBB.

On 10/22 I called and was told by a rep that they had received my check and my payment was posted, but the website hadn't updated.

On 11/26 I called because my payment still hadn't been posted and I was told I never sent anything. Keri also told me that they don't do payments over the phone (I have talked to her previously and she never said anything like that) and that Bank of America is not their bank, so I may have to get my money back from my bank because GE Money didn't deposit my check. She told me to fax a copy of the cleared check to her attention. Molette Speed finally answered the BBB and said I used their 'Pay-by-Phone' service, but I have not sent a copy of the check, and if I would send a copy they would post my payment.

I'm at a loss. I send it and they say not that they didn't receive it, but that I never sent it. I have started faxing them daily a copy of the cleared check, along with the confirmation from the previous fax showing that I have sent it multiple times.

I have also filed a complaint with the Attorney General. Hopefully if GE doesn't take care of this problem themselves the Attorney General can motivate them to post my payment.

GE Money Bank Funancing- Has been anything but fun

I just spoke with the WONDERFUL customer service at GE Money and was informed that a copy of my cleared check has been received (Finally after faxing it 12 times and mailing it once), but I need to wait an additional four to five days for them to research where the money was deposited or applied before they would post my payment. When I asked what I was supposed to do in five days when they haven't posted my payment Dan Griffe (7261) informed me I had to 'wait longer'.

I have waited two months already for this to be applied, so I asked to speak to his supervisor to complain and he told me to mail a complaint. I informed him when I mailed things they seem to disappear, and he informed me they received a written correspondence from me yesterday. I asked what it was and he told me a copy of the cleared check (the one that was delivered to them on 10/11/07).

I remarked how long it had been before they received it and he told me 'Well, it takes thirty days for us to get it'. It had been longer than 30 business days. I asked what guarantee I had that anyone would reply to me and he said 'ma'am I already told you'. 'I said you didn't tell me anything.' He said 'I answered this already'. I told him I did not have to wait for anything to be 'researched' I provided my proof of payment and they could apply it and research it after.

It is not my fault that they 'lost' the money and I should not have to wait for anything to be posted until they 'find' it. He asked to speak to the account holder (My husband) and I told him I was the highest he could speak to if he would like to speak with him he had to provide written correspondence and he hung up on me.
