DANGEROUS SCAM and RIPOFF!!!
I 'won' a free laser consultation for 'skin rejuvenation' - May 2004-looked up the company and it appears on their website that they are medical offices- with directors that are mds-went there- had consult- wasn't sure I wanted this but was pressured- gave full medical history- which included losing the sight in one eye to radiation for a tumor- went home and spoke to my eye doctor who said- no way, under no circumstances to allow the procedure w/out an eye doctor ok'ing- since I only have vision in one eye- they do not tell you that there is a risk- however small- to your vision- I tried to cancel w/in 36 hours- but no one would answer me, etc - I spoke to the doctor who is listed as 'director' and he said he only rented space to them- does not get involved in their procedures at all!!!- I even spoke to - and wrote - the doctors who are listed as company board of directors-spoke to their attorney- who said no 'refunds' were allowed- I told him I was not asking for a refund- I had not made any appoint's for the procedure- had not received any services to 'refund'- had not , indeed, cost their company anything at all- and that medically- I was not able to complete the transaction due to my medical history- something they could verify since they had my permission for medical records- I told him I felt they lied to me since there are no doctors present at the procedures- he said the attorney general of the US had said his company was exempt from the normal 3 day right of rescission rules- I have been hounded by GM credit- they paid this 'company'- for 2 years- I have filed a complaint with the NY attorney general's office against both ALC and the doctor's office who allowed them to use their name for false advertising- after all I have been through medically- I cannot believe there is such a company that would be allowed to continue to pry upon trusting consumers who believe they are consulting doctors for a medical procedure- with all the assumed protection one would expect from a medical doctor- instead you are dealing with a company that apparently has no problem trying to force a consumer to proceed with a procedure that has to potentially to blind them- and charge them for it!!!
