WGU is not a diploma mill. One must know the proper mechanics of writing, and, more importantly, the mechanics of writing research papers. If you do not understand how to paraphrase and extrapolate and synthesize your own ideas from the research you conduct; then you shouldn't be attending any higher learning institution, including this one. If you do not understand those principles, then you will get a red flag on your originality report. I just completed a 17 page paper and got a 3% score on my report. I think those complaining about these things do not know how to properly write a research paper. They enrolled at WGU thinking it was just a free ride, only to find out they actually had to produce quality work to pass. So, instead of learning how to perform correctly, they decide to remain stagnate and blame the university for their faults.
